PetFocus

Hello and welcome to the April/May edition of PetFocus magazine.

Gnawing on a table leg, or tearing apart a favourite cushion, can be as great a pleasure to a dog that loves to chew as it is a source of frustration for their owner.

However much we might tell them to stop, chewing is a natural behaviour for dogs. Fortunately, there are things we can do to make sure they don’t chew on anything dangerous or valuable. In this issue, pet behaviourist Karen Wild explains how to get your dog making better chewing choices.

Now that spring is here, you might be lucky enough to see hedgehogs rummaging about in undergrowth or scurrying across your lawn. We’ve been to visit to Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue to learn about the work the charity does to help hedgehogs in need.

Elsewhere, we take a look at how to help a pet stung by an insect, how to prevent cats from hunting wildlife, and discover the many benefits of neutering pet rabbits.

We hope you find plenty in this issue to get your teeth into.

Best Wishes
